6th Anniversary Celebration

Welcome to Korea International Club held its 6th Anniversary Celebration on Dec. 6th from 11am to 2pm at the Press Center. Over 100 guests and members from foreign and domestic areas came to join the party. Baeyong Lee (Chairman of National Education Commission), Hyunsook Kim (Minister of Gender Equality and Family), and several members of National Assembly gave congratulatory messages first. Other happy messages were given by ambassadors of UAE, the Phillippines, Belarus and Taipei.

President Jungsook Kim thanked everyone who attended the event despite the pandemic situation and introduced what WKIC has been doing like a trip to historic places, on and off seminars with ambassadors, and other small actives. She made sure that WKIC will continue working for gender equality and women's empowerment through cultural exchanges and life-long education.

A beautiful musical performance followed after the congratulatory messages. Yohan Chung, the violinist and Yena Kim, the pianist played 'Meditation from the Thais' and 'Oh Holy night' and Sarasate's Zigeunerweisen op. 20. After lunch, Lucky Draw escalated the festivity and people seemed to enjoy every moment of it.
