WKIC's 1st Anniversary Celebration

On November 1st, WKIC held its 1st anniversary celebration at the National Club in Korea Press Center from 10:30-2pm. Ms. Maria Fernanda Arduino,WCI president came all the way from Argentina to attend the celebration of WKIC. 120 people including diplomats from Romania, Repulic of China, Ghana, etc attended the celebration and gave a big hand to the marvelous work done for a year since the foundation of the club. President Jungsook Kim made an opening speech to thank all the people who helped WKIC, an organization which took a major step forward to strengthen international relations and to improve personal networking through women's empowerment, to grow and establish the way it is now. She also mentioned the special activities and ongoing programs done during the whole year and how much the members got educated in the field of history through the cultural heritage series tour. Several congratulatory speech and messages were told by the assistant on behalf of the Secretary of Foreign Affairs, ROC Ambassador, Ms. Hyunbaek Chung(Secretary of Women and Science), Ms. Insoon Nam (Congress Women-Family Committee Chair) and Ms. Keumsook Choi (President of Korean Women Council).  

Ms. Maria Fernanda Arduino made a keynote speech saying that she was totally impressed by the marvelous work and the activities done by WKIC  and applauding the way WKIC takes which corresponds the catch phrase of WCI 'Integration of Education'.

 

Presentation of appreciation plaques was given to Mr. Woohyung Kim who made a Logo representing women's leadership by using Taeguek emblem and flowing touch of 'W' meaning Women, Welcome, and World. It was followed by an awesome concert consisting of three singers called Incielo. It is a group of 'Popera (pop + opera) encompassing pop song, jazz and folk music. Three singers developed their own cross-over genre of music and became so popular. Everyone enjoyed and experienced the lingering image of their music. 

 

Some guests proposed the toast and the lovely luncheon was given. ^~^
